5. Year of graduation: 2018

6. Do you love being a pharmacist?
– 50/50. I enjoy being a pharmacist because of the thrill, especially in Community Pharmacy where you manage various patients. The unemployment and underemployment bit makes the profession frustrating. All in all, it’s our profession

– Kisumu County Hospital (Internship)
– Kileleshwa Medical Plaza
– Lifemed Pharmacy
– Dovey Pharmacy
– Wham Limited
– Amber HealthCare
Currently:
– Pharmacist In Charge at Fountain Group of Hospitals

8. What are your roles as The Pharmacist in Charge?
– Providing and developing of ward and clinical pharmacy services.
– Maintaining compliance with all regulatory bodies.
– Generating operational SOPs for the pharmacy and supporting through implementation.
– Overseeing documentation and completion of ADR forms.
– Involved in purchase, storage and supply of all medicines and related items.

9. Do you have any political ambitions? Within KMPDU or national politics?
– Definitely. 2026 KMPDU is a must. We must get as many young pharmacists as possible in leadership positions ie KMPDU, National and we also need to influence decisions in PSK.

10. Where do you see yourself in the next 10 years?
– Renowned Clinical Pharmacist
– Owner of several retail pharmacies

11. What has been your biggest struggle in the Pharmacy field?
– Mentorship and underemployment

12. How do you think you have positively contributed to the Pharmacy field?
– I have mentored and continue to mentored our juniours in the field.
– Starting the Unemployed pharmacists of Kenya so as to raise issues faced and liase with the various bodies that can help.

13. If you are to change one thing about the profession, what would it be?
– Shift of Practice from Product Centered to Patient Centered.

14. Advice to other pharmacists
– Do you, the world will adjust
